Services

Design, build, and tend — as one studio.

Most gardens need more than a planting plan. We take a site from first walk to the last irrigation zone, then stay for the seasons that follow.

Garden design

01

Garden design

Every garden begins with the land. We survey levels, existing trees, drainage after a Lowveld downpour, and how you actually move through the property — then draw a plan that holds for decades, not a season. Drawings include layout, materials, lighting, irrigation, and a planting schedule written for subtropical heat.

Subtropical planting

02

Subtropical planting

We plant for thunder, humidity, and the dry winter that follows. Palettes lean on Lowveld natives, cycads, and a few generous tropicals for scent and flower. The result is lush without being thirsty — and a garden that birds, butterflies, and bees actually use.

Outdoor living

03

Outdoor living

A Lowveld garden earns its keep in the shade. We design braai rooms, deep pergolas, dining courts, and pool terraces as architecture: stone, timber, and planting working as one. Built-in seating, outdoor kitchens, and lighting are specified with the same care as the house.

Stone, water & hardscape

04

Stone, water & hardscape

Hardscape is the bones. We work with local stone, gravel, and timber, and we keep joints honest — no glossy pavers fighting the bush. Water is used quietly: a rill, a dark pool, a trough that catches sky after rain.

Lighting & irrigation

05

Lighting & irrigation

Lighting is layered and low: a wash on a wall, a path you can trust, a tree that holds the dark. Irrigation is zoned, drip-led, and tied to the planting plan so the garden drinks what a Lowveld summer actually asks for.

Seasonal care

06

Seasonal care

The first two years decide a garden. We offer a care calendar, seasonal visits, and a crew who already know the plants by name. Not a mow-and-blow service — a relationship with the ground.

Not sure where to start?

A site visit is the honest first step. We will tell you if the garden only needs planting — or if the bones have to change.
