Crocodile Pool

Heat, storm water, and a thin soil profile on granite. We held the slope with pale stone, dropped a dark-lined pool into the terrace, and planted cycads, strelitzia, and forest-edge groundcovers. The house now steps down to the water instead of staring at a retaining wall.
